Dealing with
Drama
If high school taught me anything, besides how to find a linear regression equation, it's that teenagers are their own type of breed. I will admit, despite how the movies portray it I have never witnessed anyone being shoved in a locker. But that does not mean our halls are full of rainbows. Being at an age where not only bodies but minds as well, are drastically changing at an ever-increasing rate.

When I was younger I always felt that I needed to be liked by everything. This didn't stem from an urge to be one of the cool kids, or seek popularity.. but rather I felt that if someone didn't like me it was my fault and because I wasn't trying hard enough. Which ironically, was the reason people didn't like me at times. I was often labeled as a "try hard" by my peers. At the time it bothered me and made me sad. I look back on it now, I have realized that if the worst thing that people could say about me was that I tried too hard... whether it be in school, sports, relationships, or life in general... well that was something that I should be proud of.

Moral of the story: Don't let the kids who put you down have power over you.
1. They're not worth it. 2. You're worth so much more.
